Sporting Event Massage

Sporting event massage is popular for the athletes.

But it is also gaining in popularity for the spectators, especially if they are there for an all day event, like a track meet or a taekwondo tournament.

Of course, The Number One spectators who will be on hand for what seems like countless hours (been there as a parent many times and believe me, they are countless!) will be the parents, spouses, and other family members of the athletes. After sitting on an uncomfortable bleacher for hours, trust me, they will be ready for a massage and they will be willing to pay for it!

Make sure you set up your chair where you are visible to the crowds. Don't be afraid to work in front of a crowd. Just focus on the client in your chair and block out all else.

Make sure you have plenty of business cards and brochures on hand. You are making money for the day, yes, but also, you are "trying out" to be invited back to future events to do chair massage. You are also looking for new regular clients to help build your practice.

So try to be cheerful and outgoing and as friendly as possible. Give each client the very best massage you can give. Remember that each person you work on is a potential new client and can also refer clients to you.
