Running Combats Stress

Running combats stress for me. As a massage therapist, I am standing with slight movements throughout the day. Most of the time, I have one client after another, back to back in the spa where I work. Not much time for stretching or breaks so it gets frustrating.

So when I get home, I will either go for a run outdoors or, if it is raining or just too hot, I will get on the treadmill and run. If outside, I will take my Ipod and listen to action music. If I am on the treadmill, I will watch war movies. They both get the blood pumping and inspire me to move fast. It feels good to move after all of that standing still.

Then a hot shower feels great once the run is over. I am looking for a better situation workwise. Maybe I will start a practice where I can schedule my work on my own instead of back to back clients. The constant back to back massages are not only stressful, but physically demanding as well. It will soon wear me out physically. I have talked to my employer about it. She told me that if I was not happy, there is the door. So I am looking...
