Massage Therapy Textbook

by Deena
(Minneapolis)

I use my massage therapy textbook on a regular basis, especially for muscle fiber directions on muscles I am not familiar with. If a client comes in with pain in a generalized area, I like to familiarize myself with which muscles are in that vicinity and what endangerment sites might be there.

I also use it to look at and for contraindications for massage. I finished massage school 4 years ago but still refer to my massage therapy textbook at least once a week.

I also get Massage Therapy Journal each quarter and read it cover to cover, absorbing the clinical information it offers. I try to incorporate some of the information into my massages.
