Gardening To Take Away Stress

by Cathy
(Poughkeepsie)

I am a massage therapist who always seems to be overbooked. So that is a lot of stress from clients who have to wait.....So when I get home, I go out in the backyard and do gardening to take away stress.

I have different flowers, roses, and vegetable plants that I take care of. It is a pleasure to plant something and watch it grow. There is always a lot of weeding and watering, not to mention pruning, picking, and what not....I love to have my fingers in the rich soil. I also enjoy designing flower layouts in my flowerbeds.

I get so busy out in the yard that I forget how long I have been out there. All of the stress melts away. Gardening is fabulous therapy to take away stress.
