John,
I have a lot of friends who are teachers. They complain about foot and leg pain. Some of my teacher clients enjoy the foot and leg routines, but others prefer chair massage instead of table massage. I explain that foot and leg requires a table. I have tried the "keep your clothes on" foot and leg special, where just the pants are removed and they are draped. A few have gone this route, but most don't want it. Some have asked me to do their legs and feet in chair massage. I refuse because I am not going to injure my body to do this. It puts too much of a strain on the massage therapist's body to reach down like that.
Thank you for sharing your comments and good luck on your practice.
