Corporate On Site Massage

Corporate on site massage can take on many forms.

Not only will you normally "try out" your skills on a company rep as on my previous page, but once you get a contract with a company, chair massage in the office can mean different things. Consider this.

For one insurance company, I was given a contract to provide chair massage, free of charge (paid for by the company), to each employee as an incentive to get them to push hard for a new company they were to acquire. My trusty massage chair and I showed up for the day, thinking that each employee would come to me in a corner somewhere, out of the way.

Wrong! They did not want employees taking time away from their desks, standing in a line. They gave me a desktop unit with a face cradle and I had to go from desk to desk, massaging each employee in his/her office chair. It worked out okay but it was not what I expected.

Sometimes chair massage in the corporate world is just for management while they are "on retreat" in a hotel dining room listening to lectures for the day.

During one of these retreats for management, during the times between speakers, I had to rush to perform a very short routine of corporate or seated massage on each member of management. Not very relaxing for them at all. Too bad they did not really want to provide relaxing chair massage for their employees.

Of course, not all companies are that way. Some are genuinely concerned in their employees' and managements' welfare.
