Convention Massage

Convention massage is done year round since there are many types of conventions all across the country each year.

Most conventions take place in large cities.

Some are for professional organizations such as groups of physicians, dentists, lawyers, and business associates. Others are mainly for sales such as homeshows, gunshows, craftshows, food shows, etc.

To set up a booth at one of these shows, you need to pay a fee, usually ranging anywhere from $50 to $1000, depending on the size and type of show, its popularity, the city or town it is located in, and the number of days you will be in attendance. You will usually need to book months in advance to reserve a booth.

You may want to share a booth with someone who has a compatible theme with massage therapy, like someone selling aromatherapy candles, massage lubricant, or even health equipment. That way you can split the booth fee and both provide services that are related for the client.

Have lots of business cards and brochures ready to hand out. Sell gift certificates and any products that you may normally sell in your massage therapy practice as well. Give lots of good chair massages for a nominal fee and you will have a long line at your booth.

It is best if you have the ability to take payments with Mastercard and Visa since many people do not carry much cash with them. You will certainly get many more clients for massages and your sales will soar.

Do not just sit at your booth and stare quietly, or worse, read a book. NO, get up and actively speak to the people as they go by and soon there will be a line of folks waiting for a good convention chair massage. Hopefully, you can take someone with you to handle payments while you give massages.

You can gain a ton of new clients and make a good deal of money. Most people at these conventions are tired and bored and a good massage will make them forget their boredom.
