Chair Event Massage Extravaganza
Chair event massage therapy performed at conventions, all-day sports tournaments such as tae kwon do and track meets, conventions, conferences, health fairs, county fairs, school fairs, craft fairs, and church fairs is a great way to gain lots of experience and make a nice sum of money. These functions are also a great way to gain new clients.
Everyone loves getting their shoulders and back rubbed and worked on. It feels so good to have those tired shoulders and that aching back touched by a professional with great hands.
The back is relieved of pain and pressure from walking or sitting all day long.
Shoulder muscles hurting from carrying heavy bags are relieved from their burden and trigger points are released, causing pain to disappear. Aaahhhh!
People will patiently wait outside your booth in line and pay you for the privilege of helping them to feel refreshed and renewed. You will have a long line of people outside your booth if yours is the only one. It is best to bring along several therapists and chairs if it is going to be a busy and crowded event. It is also great if you can bring along an assistant to handle paperwork and money so you don't have to waste valuable time away from the important work of giving chair massages.
You will need to take classes on seated bodywork prior to giving seated massage. When you perform seated massage, you must have liability insurance. This protects you, your clients, and the owners or sponsors of the event. Bring proof of your liability insurance to show to whoever owns the facility where you will be massaging. This lets the owner/coordinator of the event off the hook in case there is a lawsuit by a disgruntled client.
Be sure to bring along medical-strength sanitary wipes and disposable face cradle covers. Liquid hand sanitizer is also nice to have since you will probably not have running water close by to wash up between clients.
Your chair event massage booth will be one of the most popular places of the event.
