Aromatherapy Relieves Stress

Aromatherapy relieves stress for me. When I am totally stressed out, I run a hot tub with some great smelling bubbles, bath salts, or bath oil. Warm brown sugar, lavender, or something with fruit is great for a hot bath. I light a relaxing candle in the bathroom and smell the scent along with the bath scent. Sometimes I will play some calming music and try to think good thoughts.

When I am stressed, I do not have good thoughts about myself so I use this time to reprogram my thoughts. I tell myself that even though the day was rough, it will get better and that I am a winner, that God loves me, and that whatever He wants me to do will succeed. Then I pray and give Him the problems.

Since aromatherapy relieves stress for me, once I get out of the tub, I put on some great smelling lotion or cream so I can continue to experience the aromatherapy. It really works.
